Caesarea Maritima — Where Kings Fell and Paul Stood Firm We began at Caesarea Maritima, the Roman masterpiece along the Mediterranean coast. This is the very place where King Herod Agrippa I strutted in pride—and God humbled him. Acts 12 tells the dramatic story: “Immediately, an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.” — Acts 12:23 Standing in the theater where this event unfolded gives the passage a whole new weight.
